I Am Blessed
I have written about this many times, but as I sit on my bed, with the world in a state of panic, I want to do it again! Many names pop into my head as I think about the word Blessed. I want to thank them all and tell them how blessed I am to have them in my life. I have never been one for words in person, I admit it is a major downfall of mine. I can however do it through writing and that is what I intend to do. Below are headers, so I ask you to go find yours…but first read the part below!
I wouldn’t know what blessed meant if it weren’t for my KING! He has shown me that I have more than I could have ever asked for. All to often I whine about not having enough, when all I have ever needed has been in front of me the whole time! You’d be amazed how the Lord puts the right people in your life if only you would open your eyes. God is why I am truly blessed! He has and always will love me when I don’t deserve it. He called me His child; I am BLESSED!
This is the area of my life I have failed at the most, and that is telling my family how much I love them and how thankful I am for each one of them. Let’s start with my dad. Dad, I know we clash heads way to much with each other, but I am so grateful you are my dad. You push me to do what I love all while making sure I don’t lose sight of what is truly important. I love that we get to share our love for basketball together. To all the days ahead, I look forward to growing closer! Mom, you are so faithful! Your constant pursuit of the Lord has pushed me to grow in my relationship with the Lord. I am beyond grateful for the many delicious meals you have made! I can’t count all the times you have sacrificed for me. I love you mom! Bro, I miss not having you around as much, however, I do understand that life moves on. To all the times spent outside shooting hoops, throwing around the pigskin or just us being boys, (even though most of these times involved me whining at some point) I am thankful! I know life hasn’t always been easy but remember always that the Lord is with you and so am I! Sis, I know you hate losing, especially to me, just remember to rub it in extra when you do beat me, I deserve it. Let’s be honest though, we argue way too much with each other! I am sure it would be good if we didn’t do it so much. Just things to grow in, but I do want to remind you that you are AWESOME and don’t forget that! To both sets of grandparents, I love you! You have shown me such love and hospitality. I love the many times we have been able to share together; I don’t think this page would fit them all. To all my aunts, uncles and cousins, you all are the best! I have enjoyed the many times we have hung out and chilled outside playing some sort of sport or inside playing a trivia game. All these moments spent together have made and will make a profound impact in my life. The last thing I want to say to you all is that I am sorry! As I have gotten older it seems as if I am around you less. That one is on me for not realizing sooner. I hope you can forgive me, because I do love you all!
This is one list that the names could go on forever and ever, so I am going to just hit the besties (yes, I used that word so what, lol). To my best friend and brother, Dawson! We have been through ups and downs with each other. I am beyond blessed to be able to call you my best friend. How our lives have crossed to lead us to this point is nothing short of amazing! I love that we get to do life together. How I get to sit back and watch as you get to be with the one that makes you happy, pursuing the thing you love and living for the Lord! Brothers for life! Alex, what a friend you have been to me. I love that you love laughter even if it is sometimes because of the stupid things I say. I have enjoyed the many nights playing 2K and talking on the cord. Even though now you are many miles away I look forward to our friendship growing! Mylan, Rafe, Tyler, Cade, Bethany, Josh, Enoch, Cole, Rachel, Andrew, Nathan, Hailee, Clara, Ethan, my basketball team, Sam, Bradley, Shamar, Brandon, Chris, Kit, Kevin, Seth, Travis! That is a lot of names and to be honest I know I am forgetting a lot, so I apologize. To all of you though, you are a blessing to my life! Each of you has played a vital role in my life. Now if you want, I can write a whole page for each of you! Before I finish this segment, I want to thank my “two grandmas”, MiMi aka Dawson’s grandma and Judy! MiMi I am so thankful that you have adopted me as you sixth grandson! You have been a blessing in my life. Thank you for letting me become a part of your family! Judy, every Sunday I look forward to seeing you and giving you a hug. It always brightens my day! Thankyou for letting me help you with communion. FRIENDS you all are truly the best!
THE UNNAMED HEROES
To the very many I did not name, you all are heroes to me! I do want to apologize for not remembering, you all truly mean the world to me! See in everyone’s life there are the unnamed heroes and they play a pivotal role in your life. To all my unnamed heroes, YOU are AMAZING! Thank you for all that you do even when I don’t realize. That is all I have for now! Remember friends and family we are blessed, just open your eyes!
